Teen killed driving car reported stolen in Harnett County
LILLINGTON – A 16-year-old who was driving a car that had been reported stolen by Fort Bragg officials was killed Wednesday during a police chase on Buffalo Lakes Road in Harnett County, authorities said Thursday.

Car fire reported near Interstate 5 in NE Salem
A car fire has been reported in northeast Salem. The fire was reported at 11:51 p.m. in the 1700 block of Freeway Court NE. Freeway Court branches off Hawthorne Avenue NE north of Market Street NE. Witnesses reported seeing black smoke from Interstate 5. 911 dispatchers said the fire is not blocking traffic. More information will be posted when it is available.
